The Pros of Adding Specific Materials to Your Bathroom Countertop

Your bathroom should be your oasis.

Your bathroom should be your oasis. You deserve a countertop that stands out and speaks to your specific style. You also deserve a well-designed bathroom that says, “this is home.” Custom fabrication and bathroom countertops have come a long way. With so many choices, it’s hard to choose! Rock Tops Fabrication specializes in custom fabrication and has the expertise that you need to enhance your home. Not sure of what material is best for your bathroom countertop? Today we’re sharing some pros of specific materials. Keep reading!

Natural Stone

Natural stone options can include marble and granite. If you’re looking for a luxury look, marble will be your go-to. It’s heavily veined and said to be one of the most attractive options, mainly because it comes in a variety of colors and patterns. It’s a soft porous stone that needs sealing once or twice a year. The elegance of marble enhances a home in a way that’s unmatched. Granite is similar to marble but a cheaper option and has less veining than marble. Granite is trendy because of its diversity and cost-effectiveness.

Quartz

Quartz is an engineered stone blended with resins and pigments and other stone materials. There are a lot of styles available. It’s often hard to tell the difference between quartz and natural stone! Some top quartz manufacturers are Corian Quartz and Cambria. Some pros of quartz are that the colors are more consistent than with natural stone. Also, quartz is extremely durable and sturdy. Also, because quartz is not as porous as natural stone, it’s less stain-resistant. These types of countertops work well for contemporary bathrooms or in bathrooms that have heavy usage.

IceStone and Vetrazzo

If you’re conscious about your carbon footprint, then Icestone is the way to go! It’s made of 75% recycled glass. It’s also very durable, and even stronger than marble! What’s even better is that your color choices won’t be limited. Vetrazzo, like Icestone, involves recycled glass (85% in fact!) along with other pigments, additives, and other recycled materials. These types of countertops are simple to clean and resists stains and bacteria. Just make sure that you seal them. If you want your bathroom to have character, this is indeed the way to go.
